Turbo Boost: (hold time about 2 seconds): Activating: Press “+” or "-" Button and hold about 2 seconds to increase temperature to maximum 430°F setting instantly no matter what setting it is. Releasing: Press “-” Button to decrease the temperature like normal mode. During cool down time, the LCD blue backlight & temperature setting display turns on, the bars for the setting will flicker and the bars from 3 bar to 0 bars (1 second/cycle) and back to 3 bars until the temperature is stable. LCD turns solid and relative bars should be displayed). Lock Mode: Activating: Press and hold Press “+” or "-" button for about 3 seconds. Use the Remington T3 Tourmaline flatiron on 410 degrees (don't pull it through too slowly---that's very hot). Then when finished, spray a glossing spray on your dry hair and rub it down. FINISHED and your hair will be BEAUTIFUL!! I've gotten soooooo many compliments on my hair since I bought these two pieces of equipment and started straightening this way. I have been SEARCHING for 20 years for an effective way to straighten that doesn't take forever or prevent me from having my morning shower.
I'm growing my hair out, so I decided to get a 2in this time around. I'd heard good things about ceramic and tourmaline so I decided on this one, mostly because of the price. For what I paid, I'm really pleased. I'm African-American and my hair is thick with tight ringlets, and after blow drying I was impressed with how well it straightened my hair. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it still doesn't get my hair as shiny and straight as my old H2Pro. I did notice that my hair seems to have held a lot more moisture with this particular straightener. It heats up really quickly, and I love the lock feature.
