I will never go back to hair moisturizers with mineral oil, petroleum, or dimethicone. Before I found the Jane Carter line I was spending more money on products that were not only full of cheap, poor quality ingredients but they also didn't work. One jar of this product lasts the three members of my family three months. After some time of using this product I must say it still does a good job of moisturizing BUT it does its best on freshly relaxed hair. When my hair was extremely hard to manage this acted as a pomade for keeping it smooth and the hairs in place with a nice shine. Very good for keeping curls but not great if you have very hard to manage dry hair .
